love the feel, suits my swing perfectly
I have not golfed much since my teens and now I am in my 40s I am trying to get back into the game. I spend most of my time at the range and had been using an old titanium driver. I always had a bad slice that I had to work very hard to get rid of. I purchased the 454 from the pre-owned clubs section and it was the best money I have ever spent. My slice is gone!!!!
Still learning how to best hit the club. Seems ok. Very accurate.
Driver for my second set of clubs at my vacation home. Plays exactly the same as my driver in my primary bag at my home course.
Great club off the tee. It may be few years old but it is still a great club.
This is the best Driver I have ever hit...when you find something that works ~ STICK w/ IT!
There are more expensive drivers on the market and some you can squeeze a few more yards out of...but overall the forgiveness, feel, balance and power of this club makes it a "MUST HAVE" for the weekend player & the daily player alike.
VERY IMPRESSED ~ Callaway got this one right!
Used to get better distance and maybe more consistency over time. I have had to figure out how to hit it straight, but I have accomplished that.
Debated between Taylormade Burner, Nike Sumo, and this model. 454 felt the best. Bought it, went to the range, and couldn't stop smiling after watching the ball go straight every time. Haven't hit a hook or slice yet. This driver will get my score down for sure.
straight back straight through this club is awesome!!!
This club has plenty of pop, I am an average golfer (shoot in the 90's) and I have had several drives in the 280-300 yrd range. This is the only club I have been able to do this with.
The product has No advantage over my old Great Big Bertha Driver. In fact I would say my old driver out performs the new product. The x-18 irons are quite good and the fairway woods are good.My old Bobby Jones Blades are hard to replace for shot making.
I like the light wieght feel to it and it really helped me straiten out my drive.
I had tried a friends on different days and was 2 for 2 with 15 more yds vs my R5. Had to have it
Long shots and accurate shots.
Improved distance and control compared to the Cleveland 330 Launcher I had been playing! Can really send it when hit on the big sweet spot.
Hit this several non Callaways (PING G5), the FT-3, the Big Bertha 460, the 460 X. This club gave me the most distance and accuracy. Swing speed around 100. Stiff flex.
You can use this driver on any hole. If it's a tight fairway or not it's very forgiving, and long, did I mention LONG!!!!!
I am new to golf and found this club extremely easy to hit the ball straight and far with very little effort.
I have a 9 degree and in the wind it really makes a difference. I'm not a long ball hitter by any means, but I am going into greens 1 or 2 clubs shorter now, and had hit 54 fairways in a row with the club last season.
The Big Bertha 454 club was a great learning tool in that it taught me to improve my swing considerably. Its not very forgiving to someone who has an outside to inside swing path. Therefore I had to learn the proper swing to be able to hit correctly. It seems to have a low flex point. I've gone to a club with a mid flex point and 2 degree offset which helps. Last round I hit all fairways and swung with more confidence.
I upgraded from the Great Big Bertha War bird. At best was getting 195 to 200 yards from my drive.I am very pleased with this driver, I have never hit any driver with the confidence that I have with this club. I now average anywhere between 200 and 250 yards. On occasions I have ripped the ball at least 300 yards. This club is about as forgiving as it gets. I purchased the 11 degree, with the RCH 65 firm shaft so that I could get the maximum lift and distance. This club hits more consistant than any club I have ever owned.I can't say enough about it.
I like the easy swing I can use and still make GREAT contact and get explosive distance. It is solid and allows me to work the ball some.
Ball explodes off the head. The large sweet spot has enabled me to improve my distance and accuracy dramatically.
It seems that having 6 cc's less than a 460 is harming the acceptance of this club. The price has come down, in my opinion, because of this. It is a great buy for someone looking for a conventional looking driver.
solid club, not the longest driver out there but consistent, accurate performer
This club is good overall, with only a few shortcomings. First of all, it's not maxed out to 460cc. Second, the MOI is average, and doesn't keep up with the newer offerings. The good thing is that it's a great club that can be had relatively cheap compared to the new technology. Square face, sets up nice, and fairly easy to work the ball despite it's large head. My recommendation would be to try it out first before you pull the trigger, there are a lot of other drivers out there.
Great off of the tee, I have always been pretty long but this driver makes me even longer. I had a Hogan driver before and I had trouble keeping it in play but the 454 fixed that. Now I am long and more often than not I am safely in the fairway.
I just started playing seriously 7 months ago and was using a Dunlop driver with regular flex. I tried a bunch of different drivers, but for a begginer this is exactly what I needed. I have hit several drives over 300 yards. I used to hit about 240 and was very eractic. I now outdrive most of my friends who have been playing for years.
long and accurate off the tee!
went from driving 220-230, to 270-280
( on first round with club )
I like the balance of this club.I was having trouble slicing the ball but with this club I don't slice any more.
Great feel, solid at impact, definite upgrade!
I bought an 8 degree to keep my ball flight low and get some extra roll on my drives. I love the forgiveness and feel when swinging through the ball.
Moved up from the BB Ti (2004) 10 degree. The shafts are same, RCH Firm, 65 weight, but I went to the 9 degree, the main reason for the change. Head size has always beeen an issue for me, but I am finally becoming a believer in the big heads. Main difference from the BB Ti to this 454 is the added perimeter weighting which makes my toe hit draw garner a nice drive compliment even tho I know I know I missed it. Impact feel is less and sound a bit duddier than the BB Ti from "04. Don't know why, but it is noticeable. Distance is basically the same. I have learned to swing easier with the longer shafts and and larger heads. It helps to "close the door". For anyone who who doesn't do this, is a mid to higher handicapped player with an habitual push or slice, do yourself a favor and cut down the shaft to 43.5 inches or so.
Made a difference in my drives the first time out. Wish I had purchased a Big Bertha years ago.
I use this as a second driver. Got it with a less stiff shaft than normal for those times when I am not swinging real good. It plays like a "hot" 3 wood. Very good playability. Easy to control
Fantastic off the tee. Put it in the front of your stance and rip the hell out of it!!!!! Open your stance and crack it, don't hold back that's when you don't hit it as well. I've hit this further than the FT3 and FT5!! Love it.
The 454 cc titanium is, so far, the best driver I played with, in years. Great feeling, hit straight and long ( average of 225 and I'm not a long hitter !!! ) It's simple, I love it ...
So far so good, only played the club a couple of times, but when I hit it straight it goes a long way, much better then the Steel Head I was using.
YS-7 X 120mph SS, 8 degree head, georgeous flight, longer than anything else I have tried.
The Big Bertha 454 was very easy to swing...good drives even on the first time out. With a little practice, I hope to gain some more yards on the old Biggest Big Bertha I had been using.
i've never played callaway before. i bought this pre-owned driver on-line from [...]. i had played R shaft taylormade 360 and this flex always seemed right for me. i've played the callaway for 4 rounds and feel it may be overly whippy, slices are BIG slices if face is open and i've hit way more severe hooks than i've ever experienced. my usual good drive is a slight draw. this club seems to require me to swing easy and slow, which i guess isn't bad. next season i will keep trying because the club otherwise looks and feels great -i'd like to try the same club w/ stiffer shaft even tho' i've never needed S flex before.
Its okay at best, I personally didnt like it. I bought it thinking it would be even better than the Big Bertha Titanium, and it wasn't. The head just feels clunky during impact and its awfully loud. After hitting it for awhile I got used to it, but I still use my Big Bertha Titanium.

This is a great driver!
Great feel and it comes off the club face hot!
I have to say it my best and favorite club in the bag.

My Wife bought me one for Christmas and I love it. Now I hit with confidence, and not worry where the ball is going.
Started my season with a consistent slice on my drive. Went into a golf retailer and hit this club in the simulator. My slice disappeared! I took it to a very tight golf course and the simulator proved correct. Not necessarily that much longer than my last driver, but manages to keep all of my drives on the fairway.
By far the best driver I've ever owned and played with, and I've been playing golf since 1974.

This was an upgrade for me from BB warbird that I have been trying to "get by" with for way too long. Borrowed a friends 454 and loved it! Got my own and have litterally added 30-40 yards and at least 2x as much consistency with this club.

I work at a golf course and have tried all the new demos. I can't find anything better than the 454. It even hits better than the new 2007 models in my opinion. This driver is really long and unbelievably accurate and best yet it doesn't feel like you are hitting with an aluminum can.
best club in my bag
hits straight
long
easy to make draw or fade
rarely ever hit slices or hooks
usually knock it out around 255
always drops jaws
Lot's of fun! Very forgiving and accurate.

I was hitting an old school Ping driver that was still a "wood". Granted my swing wasn't the best but at a point I was just hitting it very inconsistently. I purchased this driver and although I still wasn't in the fairway all the time, I was definetly hitting the ball more consistently. After working on my swing and using this driver for over a season I am hitting the ball 40-50 yards longer. About twice a round I just nut the ball 300+.
GREAT FEEL, WELL BALANCE CLUB. USING ABOUT 80 PERCENT OF SWING SPEED. YES, I WOULD RECOMMEND THE CLUB, I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY BROTHER TOO.
I trade up to FT-3 and like that Driver much more than the 454
I bought the 13 Degree with the Senior Flex Graphite Shaft.I Love this Club.Perfect Trajectory. Plays like a 2 Wood with a Drivers Length & weight.
This club is not for average golfers that tend to slice their drives. I struggled keeping my ball in the fairway and after one year of use traded this driver in for an FT-5 with a draw bias. The FT-5 is the best driver I've owned.
before my big bertha i had a very bad nike juinior driver with 225cc and 18 degres of loft. i hit it about 165 yards. then i got so made i saved all my christmas money and boght a big bertha titaniam 454cc 11 degres of loft. when i first hit it it felt amazing and it went about 213 yards it was amazing. out on the course i went from 110 to 92 just by swithcing to the big bertha it was the most forgiving drive i had.
This club with the 75 firm flex graphite shaft has improved my driving accuracy, is very forgiving and has added over 10 yards consistantly compaired to my old Biggest Big Bertha.
By partners say my drives are "boring" ... "straight down the middle".
I upgraded to this driver last year and would do it again. I added 15 yards off the tee even with the same some what ugly swing. Makes me wonder how good the newer clubs are.
If I can golf with club with confidense, anyone can. Greately improved my game.
Originally bought a 9 degree and switched to 8 degree, now I get at least 20 yards more off the tee. My wife hits the 9 degree now and will never switch!
it took 2-3 sessions at the driving range before I got the feel for this club. I immediately picked up 20-30 yards and am now hitting a soft draw that accurately finds 12-13 fairways every game. Long par-4's no longer scare me, and par-5's are easy.
Long even on off center hits but easy to work it both ways.
This thing hits a ton! Mis hits fly over 200, hit it in the screws and it'll go 300 easy. Best driver I've ever had!
Classic head design, simply and understated. The ball rockets off of the clubface and off-center hits are not so puntative. The best driver that I've ever hit.
This driver was an eye-opener. It is easy-to-use (forgiveness) and has great feel.
This driver hits the ball, literally, like it is being shot out of a cannon. The feel is unbelievable, and it adds 25-20 yards to my drives with NO increased effort. In fact, I can swing easier and more controlled with this driver and still hit it a mile!
Forgiving, yet good distance. I have preferred your drivers because they seem more forgiving than others that I have tried....and like all golfers, I have experimented with many. The trend seems to be toward biasing a driver for draw or fade, but I really prefer the "neutral' playability of the 454, to work a fade or a draw as needed.
This is the longest hitting driver I have ever used! It looks good, feels good, my friends are amazed with the results!
This Club is superior to other major "make" drivers that compete directly for the following reasons.
1. It has a balanced "feel" that inspires confidence in the shot.
2. The Titanium face and bottom provide superb wear resistance and do not show the normal scratches, scuffs you would expect with repeatd use.
3. The club emits a solid "ping" sound that feeds back the knowledge to you (and the other players) that you have hit a solid shot right on the sweet spot.
4. This club will give any player additional distance on their tee shots.
Gives me an additional 10 to 20 yards on every drive. Great Driver and so forgiving.
inpires confidence at address.it has a light feel for such a large head. i haven't added alot of distance (10-20 yrds) but i hit it much straighter. very forgiving club.
Easy to line up and swing. You feel, and with just cause, like you cannot miss. The sweet spot is huge. Very easy to hit all fairways.
This driver is the best balanced club I've ever used. It has increased my confidence on the tee by at least 50% and, this driver replaced a Callaway Big Bertha II that I was happy with for over 3 years.
Getting great jump off the 454 head! I like the shaft weight (65 grams) - would get better performance from a higher degree head like 9.5 or 10.5 coupled with a shaft with a higher flex point. Still hitting it 290+ with current setup.
The club hits solid and has great distance, however, even with a number of adjustments, I seem to have a somewhat consistent slice. I've gone back to my old driver and may trade it in for something else. I'm quite satisfied with your service though.
The shaft felt two heavy for me. I wish I had a lighter weight shaft 50-62 grams. I was inconsistant with this driver. I liked the head design and I hit it long when I connected but it was the weight that just didn't feel right for me.
