The Big Bertha Metal Wood with the War Bird soleplate incorporates the uniquely sculpted soleplate of a very successful utility club with an advanced internal weighting system that increases the degree of perimeter-weighting, making the club extra-forgiving. But the generosity on mis-hits is not the only benefit. A redistribution of mass provided by the War Bird soleplate and internal design refinements allow for a stronger flight pattern. The Big Bertha War Bird Driver head size is 195cc.

This is a great club. I can hit 270 yard bombs with this club, that are consistently 20 to 30 yards further than my buddies who were using 460cc drivers. Very accurate as well.

I am a beginner/intermediate player. The head on the Warbird driver is small by today's standards but I find myself hitting consistent and straight more often than with a new driver.

One Word... WOW. She can fly with the Big Boys of today.... I was amazed! [$]like new and a consistent straight trajectory with about 230-250 yards distance. I also hit my BB 460 and shes about 30 yards further than this with a more straight trajectory but again.... WOW...What a driver....

I have the 11 degree with a steel TT Dynamic Gold S 300. While I may be 10 yards shorter than my fellow players who use the 400+ size drivers, I'm the only one who is consistently in the fairway.
I've tried the big heads keep coming back to my old standard. This club has a boring, accurate trajectory and can be hit off the deck when necessary.
I'm going to buy another just in case something happens to my original. Great club!

I get a lot of kidding from the folks I play with, because I'm not hitting a 400cc + driver, but they stop laughing when I driver farther than them.

By rtross29 from Undisclosed on 4/20/2006

I wanted to try this club because I have a difficult time hitting the over-sized drivers. This club is a great option. It may not be quite as long as some of the over-size purport to be, but it is a much more consistent club for me.

By mrsmooVerified Purchaser from Undisclosed on 4/19/2006

It is a great driver. O got this because I did not like the look of all the big heads that are coming out, however, I will be ordering another club with a big head soon. I will not sell this club. It will remain in my possession as my security blanket. Yes, the club is great.

By duffysnow from Undisclosed on 4/19/2006

An exceptional value with great looks and feel resulting in excellent performance. The club gives me an additional 10-20 yards off the tee and allows me greater control and accuracy than any other wood I've ever played. Have even used it as a fairway wood with great results.

By dave351 from Undisclosed on 4/19/2006

I recently purchace an 11 degree Callaway Warbird driver because I love the feel of the older solid headed drivers and I don't believe they are currently in production because of the demand for the new larger drivers, therefore I went to pre-owned Callaway site and found many to pick from even though I am a left handed player. Everytime I tee up my drives and hit them I always love the "wows" I get when the ball goes as far and as stright as it does, THANK YOU CALLAWAY PRE-OWED.
