I bought this driver hoping to increase my distance and I did. I hit it around 200 yards but the first time I used the FT-3 was on a 360 yard hole and I hit it less than 100 yards from the pin which was awsome.
Very easy to hit, light weight with a great shaft[$]
This club added 20 yards to my shot...
I DID NOT LIKE ANY OF THE FUSION CLUBS...I'M SELLING THEM ALL ON [@]...I NEED TO FEEL THE HEAD THROUGHOUT MY SWING...THE HAWKEYE WOODS HAVE THE TUNGSTON INSERT.....A MUCK BETTER CLUB AND A BETTER VALUE.
The stock shaft is way too long so I couldn't control this driver until I shortened the shaft to 43.5. Much better contact and control.
The feel is quite good, however, the clubhead does not seem to be as big as some others, even though it says it is the maximum allowable size.
This is an 11 degree driver, since I am 55, not long a long hitter, but a 6 handicap. My game is control and I need to keep it in the fairway.
I bought this club two weeks ago and I used to drive 200 and scattered. I am hitting this club consistantly 220 and straight with at least 2-3 260 yd drives per round.
Last several years ago, I looked at the Wilson Killer Whale and Callaway Big Bertha at the golf club store, so I choosed the Killer Whale, because many people use the same club what John Daley use it. Past few years, that club seem okay, but problem with slice/hook! So, yesterday, I am thinking go back to the Callaway Big Bertha and purchased it for cheap price. I swing that club, wow, I hit the ball little longer yards, easy prefect swing, light weight club, ball go straight-not slice or hook! I should purchase that club last few years ago!
I immediately gained 20 yd. and fairway splitting accuracy with this driver. I didn't think I would ever give up my VFT. Wrong. This is a great driver.
Love the club. NVS shaft. I tied out at a fitting booth vs. my personal Adams. Ball speed was up 21mph and distance is 20 plus yards. I have had this club one year now. My employer is ordering the same setup as my told him to keep his hands off mine...
I am 61 years old, and last saturday at the driving range my drives were as long as the club employees trying the latest, you know who's drivers.
I've increased distances by 35 yards easy.
A true "let the club do the job" diver.
Hit is anywhere near the sweet spot and it will go long and straight. Saw immediate improvement off the tee when I upgraded from an older driver.
its a quality club..........its callaway golf clubs they are all that way.
I have been experimenting with more lofted drivers for better control. I just got tired of chasing balls in the woods. I purchased the HT model with a draw bias. OMG! 1st time playing in 2008 San Antonio TX. Pecan Valley Course...all pretty much tree lined fairways with a nasty little creek winding throughout...I hit every fairway except 2 of them and thats only because I drove it through the dog leg into the woods...I was right down the middle most holes didn't really lose any distance that I could tell...I was playing a 12 degree Taylor Made R-5...I can't wait to play again! Great Club!
I've never reviewed a club before, but this driver is longer and straighter than any other I've owned. With my 9 degree Ft-3, the trajectory is low, but the ball rolls a long way. And I hit this driver as straight as any club in my bag.[...]The clubs are actually in better condition than they claim.

I purchased the original ERC Fusion when it first came out and was'nt impressed to say the least. I never really was a fan of the Fusion Technology I played the Big Bertha 454 for 3 years and loved it. I thought their was no way a driver could improve from that model I bought the FT-3 in a package deal and was absolutely blown away towering long drives that were easily 10 -25 yards longer than any I hit with the 454 I tried every way not to like this driver but I am simply blown away. AWESOME !!!! If the FT-5 is as good as people are saying WOW!
I've hit this driver 10 to 20 yards farther then my old driver. I'm going places I've never gone before, ha,ha. Great feel ,good looks I even bought one for my son. I would recommend this to everyone.

this baby is the bomb handicap is 4.1 not 41,,,
have the NV75 stiff in a 9* head never hit anything else any longer than this.... N-setting can work club both ways mainly straight which I don't have a problem with...
I HAVE TRIED THEM ALL...SUPERQUAD-SUMO-SASQ-MIZUNO-WILSON-TITLEIST-COBRA-AND I SETTLED ON THE SUMO....UNTIL I HIT MY BUDDIES FT-3. WE WENT ON A 3 GOLF TRIP AND KEPT GRABBING HIS DRIVER....WOW!!!! ORDERED MY OWN FROM YOU ALL AND IT'S BEEN NOTHING BUT PERFECT....GREAT BALANCE, WEIGHT,FEEL AND SOUND...AND LONGER THAN THE OTHERS!!! I'M 52 AND KILLED ONE YESTERDAY WITH A LITTLE WIND...354, AND DROVE A 318 PAR 4....LONG WITH A SLIGHT DRAW...PERFECT!!! PLUS I CAN FADE IT WHEN NEEDED!!! THE TOUR MODEL, NEUTRAL IS THE WAY TO GO FOR NONE SLICERS!! THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH..THIS WILL BE IN MY BAG FOR YEARS TO COME!!!!!
Great feel, satisfying sound when stiking ball. Early days but added 50ft to distance
first driver that I could consistantly get in the air and down the fairway
I am an occasional golfer to say the least. Two friends of mine are avid golfers and always try to include me in as many rounds of golf as my family life will allow. I've played with the same set of clubs I bought 15 years ago when I graduated college. Figured clubs are clubs - I'm just really not that good. My one friend told me about the pre-owned site and persuaded me to buy a new driver, 3-wood, and a 2h hybrid (to replace my 5-wood). received the clubs 1 week prior to a spur-o-the-moment golf trip to Delaware with such friends and cannot even describe the experience. two rounds of golf - every hole par 4 or 5 - broke out driver and drove ball straight down the middle - I NEVER hit the fairway with a driver. Solid performance. My friend (shoots 70's to 80's) could not stop talking about it. Never thought the club would change my game THAT MUCH! Highly recommend this club!!! (now looking for a set of Callaway irons)
Great driver off the tee. I thought I needed a lower degree of loft since I was launching the ball high but it turns out that even with a 9 degree, I was still getting the same type of launch. However with the 9 degree, I wasn't getting the same amount of backspin and so it wasn't carrying the same distance as before so I was losing overall distance. Went back to my 10.5 degree and am hitting my usual distance. Would consider a 10 degree in regular flex (I purchased a stiff flex initially) if I purchase again.
Distribution of weight within the head is perfect!
Put your ego in the closet and get an eleven degree driver; more air time = more distance, trust me. Add a draw to your shot and the ball kicks big time for even more distance.
Prepare yourself for a different sounding club when hitting the ball. However, in a couple of weeks you won't even take notice. That's what hitting it longer & straighter will do for you.
At aged 70 I decided I needed a little help from Technology. This driver is the best I have ever hit, I can say I have only lost about 5 yards average from the days when I used to play in single figures. A pleasure to play with. FT 5 may be another good Callaway but try getting this club out of my hands
This club is very accurate out of 10 drives i split the fairway 8 times. This club also helped drop my handicap about 15 with the help of big bertha irons and XHot 3 wood. I am now a much more consistant and confident golfer when i step on the tee.
This driver has a draw bias and delivers without any effort. It is a minimum 10 yards longer than my current driver and the accuracy of the club is never in doubt.
I've hit balls to places I've never been before.
Relax and swing easy, the ball will go miles and its very forgiving. I have been holding fairways more than before.
One of the straightest clubs in my bag. Obviously good on long par 5's but also useful on tight par 4's due to confidence in putting the ball on the short grass. I'm hitting it 30 yards longer than my 3 wood. On the negative side when you hit it wrong it goes a long way wrong, but that is operator error and no fault of the club!

I like the feel

this club has given me an extra 30 yards, and straighter. I am now driving with, and out driving 15 handicappers, and hence my second shots to thw green have less risk. I expected to take 4 shots off my handicap next year (currently 22)

It was accurate and reliable. I was looking for more distance which did not occur. I guess I better get back to the gym.

I was pleasantly surprised with the feel of this driver. Met my expectations.

Great Club!! I tried a friend's HT FT-3. I was sold and purchased an HT FT-3 with senior shaft. My natural shot is a draw and this club solidifies that shot shape. I can fade the ball easily if needed. Shot distance is equal to my old driver, but is absolutely controllable. The head shape allows shots from fairway lies, so I replaced my 3 wood with another wedge. The effect is both my long and short game have improved!

I have had several Callaway Drivers over the years GBB, Steelhead, 454. This driver is as long as the 454 and as easy to hit straight as the tiny steelhead. Don't know if I would trade for an FT5 or FTi I LOVE THIS ONE.
p.s. Handicap dropped from low 20's to 12-14 range

Club is long and forgiving, but sounds rather lame. Doesn't have that nice "pop" sound that you get out of many of the better titanium drivers. Still a good club though.
Great club, great price, what else can I say. RIP to my old warbird, it was time!!!
definetly recomend this driver before,i had a horrible cut now its like its gone and easy 20 more yards on my drives. Easy to control, and did i mention Long
I purchased this driver mainly for the NVS 65 Stiff Neutral shaft. The 460cc head looks a bit smaller than the Nike Sasquach i'm currently using; and as some reviewers have noted, there is a "distinct" sound from this club off the tee.
I hit it for the first time this week, and notice about a 20+ yard difference on straight shots. This club tends to draw more, even though setting is neutral. I also sliced a few shots badly. With the head size, appears that i can shape my shots more readily with this club.
Bottom line: my shots went further, and tended to draw; sweet spot is a bit smaller so i'm more mindful of my full swing, from takeaway to impact.
I have FT-3 draw with NV65, I am hitting alot more fairways with a draw. This is a cannon. I got an X460 Tour for Christmas and it hasn't seen a golf course yet. This driver has added a lot yards on my tee shots, I have used a 3 wood once in the last 3 rounds.ps . I have never had a draw.
I had the GBB II and loved it. Someone told me to try the FT-3. I couldn't believe the distance until I hit it. WOW!! At least 20 yards longer on average. On one hole I hit it about 40 yards past where I normally hit. Accuracy is as good or better than the GBB II.
Bought the 9 degree- neutral- NVS 55- stiff.
What's not to like, it's long, accurate, workable, and I love the sound and feel of this club. Owned MANY drivers over the years, it's as good as anything out there. No club is going to completely compensate for bad swings/technique.
I've always been able to hit the ball a ton, just never very straight. Always had a pretty good fade and TONS of loft. Took it to the range today and it took a few swings to get used to, but after that... IT WAS ON! Drove the [*] driving range balls OVER the 285 yard flag, over the wall AND OVER THE maintenance building. Also helped my fade! WOW! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face the entire morning!
This clubs will make will make your drive father and it will go where you want it to. The fusion took 5 stokes off my score card.
I love it and you will too.
Before I got the FT-3 I was hitting only 3 fairways per round, now i'm hitting almost every fairway and only missing very few by a matter of inches!!!
I tell anyone that will listen...the FT-3 put a new word in my vocabulary-FAIRWAY! A realist, I was not expecting Phil Mickelson distance...just some accuracy. With the FT-3 (10 degree Draw), I'm hitting well over half the fairways and seldom miss by more than a club length. Bottom line, handicap is coming down because tee shots are FUN! I even end up out front occasionally in a group that "tees it high and lets it fly".
very good buy, like new, but did not help my slice, returned, [...]
Bought a 11` Draw and could not hit it left to save my life. Didn't like the Fusion NVS by Aldila shaft either. 1/2 shorter than my Callaway 454 driver. FT-5 is the way to go!
Since fourteen, have always played "old man" golf... short, down the middle, chip and putt. Now 54 and short drives getting shorter by the year. Picked up 20 -25 yds and still down the middle. A beautiful thing.
I have a stable of drivers from Taylor Made R5, Cobras, Ping iTek and a 2004 Callaway Fushion and to my mind It's arguably the best driver I've owned to date. I've tried the FT5 and the FTi Tour model at a Callaway field day and they promise even better results so I'm keen to update again real soon - passing the FT3 to my son who is a keen junior pennant golfer.
Love this Driver, I traded up from the 454, what a differnce.
bought a 9.5 tour with fade. It is by far the most difficult driver I have ever attempted to hit in my 50 years of playing. It has the smallest sweet spot I have seen, and this includes some of the 200cc era driver. This driver is suitable for very low handicap players only.
The Fusion FT-3 driver is the best driver I've hit. If you make a good swing, it will give you outstanding results. The feel and sound of the ball off the clubface is sweet. I love mine !
I actually traded in the new Big Bertha 460 for the FT-3 nuetral, 9 degree, stiff shaft. The head size is 460 cc, but it feels much more manageable than the stretched out head of the new BB 460. This club is as long as any of the new drivers, but without the enormous head size. Still provided good distance on heel/toe hits. Overall, this is a great driver with plenty of pop.

Finally a driver I can draw with consistency. I bought this club with the draw set up and it has performed for well over a year now. The last Driver I had was the Ping G2 and once again I found myself fading this club...very frustrating. The FT3 has been allowing me to draw the ball off the tee consistently, therefore more fairways hit...better scores
This is, quite sinmply, the best golfing investment I have ever made. There have been innumerable technological "breakthroughs" and wild claims about the purported benefits of these scientific advances. All I can tell you is that this club is the only club that has been "as advertised" that I have found.

I used to have a terrible slice.I bought the ft3 and changed my grip. Now I'm straight down the fairway or have a nice little draw. That produces a lot more distance! Some people say it has a funny sound when you hit it, and it does, but they are saying that while my ball is flying past theirs on the fairway. Can't say enough good things about it.Solid driver.

Best driver I've ever hit. Amazing!

This is my first Callaway driver and I wouldn't change for the world. Very soft and long off the tee, not to mention how strait the ball goes. (I was using an HX Tour ball) From now on I will only buy Callaway golf Drivers(and balls)!!
